If you are looking for a unique, challenging, and perspective-shifting opportunity to serve God across the world and across cultures, this is it! Impact Indonesia offers a short-term missions experience for graduating seniors or young adults (18-26). This is an intense but exciting way to see how the body of Christ functions and how God can use you to make a difference in the lives of others.
Our Plan
For many years New Heights has been serving and developing a unique relationship with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) missionaries in Papua, Indonesia. Our main ministry to MAF will be planning and serving at their annual family conference – bringing camp to them! You’ll also have an opportunity to visit a remote village in Papua, so you can experience and better understand MAF’s ministry in Indonesia. Our hope for the whole trip is that we can be a source of encouragement to the people who are faithfully serving Jesus in this remote part of the world.
Our Partner
Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is a support organization that is sharing the love of Jesus Christ through aviation and technology so that isolated people may be physically and spiritually transformed. MAF serves thousands of Christian and Humanitarian Organizations through aviation, communications, and information technology as well as learning technologies.
Our Purpose
We want the MAF families to feel that they are at the center of God’s love and care. As we serve the MAF families we want to build relationships that encourage them in their ministry in Indonesia, as well as build connections and offer support for them on this side of the world.
What You Should Know
This is for you if…
- You are a graduating senior or young adult (18-26)
- Involved in leadership within your ministry and/or others
- Looking for an exciting way to challenge yourself and grow in your faith as you experience and serve a unique people group.
What is the trip?
- We will spend two weeks, during July, in Papua, Indonesia, where a missions organization called MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) serves.
- Part of our time will be spent in a remote village that MAF serves, and part of our time will be spent putting on the yearly MAF Family Conference.
What can you expect?
- DO NOT expect this to be a casual vacation.
- You can expect to be significantly stretched and pushed in your capacities. Throughout the training and trip you are very likely to find yourself in a state of physical and spiritual exhaustion at multiple points.
- However, you can also expect to see the Lord show Himself, His good works, and ultimately His glory in powerful and life-changing ways throughout this experience.
