The internship program is ideally suited for college students who are pursuing a career in ministry or are considering pursuing a career in ministry. Interns can be local to the Vancouver/Portland area or from around the United States. You must have completed one year of college to be an intern at New Heights Church.

We will do our best to provide housing for out of state interns. We have a couple on site housing options that may be available. Additionally, we will work to set interns up with host families if on-site housing is not available.

Interns will work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks in the summer. Mondays will consist of intentional leadership development alongside other interns as well as a weekly visit with a ministry department to learn who they are and what they do. Our hope is to allow you to learn about New Heights as a whole, gaining understanding in more than just your specific ministry area. Tuesday through Thursday will be ministry specific hours that you will spend working alongside your coach. Sundays will vary depending on your ministry area.

Yes. Interns recieve $300/week for a total of $3000 for the 10-week program.

You are responsible for the cost of your visit. We would encourage you to fly to and from Portland International Airport (PDX).
