Women’s Bible Study at Main
Tue, January 21 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
An event every week that begins at 9:30am on Tuesday, repeating until Tue, May 12, 2020
We come together as women to study the Bible, apply it to our lives, connect with and care for each other relationally, regardless of the age or stage of life we find ourselves in. Limited childcare is available upon request.
Many Christian women struggle to please God and meet the standards others place on them–or the even higher standards they put on themselves. But in all their striving, is there any room left for grace?
Delve into Galatians to explore the many ways Paul shows what grace really is and means for us. Through principles, theological argument, story, pleading, coaxing, and even scolding, Paul shows us the folly of trying to please God in our own strength or by obeying the law. Unpack what the law is, what its intent was, where legalism can enter and control readers’ lives, and how to escape the bonds of guilt, shame, and false standards.
