COUNSELING CONSULTATION

We provide one-time consultation meetings to address immediate concerns with a goal of problem solving, resource gathering, or determining what the appropriate next step would be. This option provides a shorter wait period than our formal counseling, though it is expected that this would be a one-time meeting only.

Counseling Request Process

Step 1

Create a new account on our counseling platform Biblicare.

Step 2

Complete the required surveys: The Counseling Agreement and brief One-Time Consultation Request form. When finished press the “Request Care” button to formally request the consultation.

Step 3

We will contact you with any next steps and/or an estimation of wait time (usually within 2 weeks). Consultations are typically conducted by Level 2 Counselors.

When a Level 2 Counselor is ready to meet, your counselor will reach out to you directly to schedule your meeting.

You will receive an invoice for the consultation 1-2 weeks after each meeting.

Consultations with a Level 2 Counselor have a suggested donation of $75/each session. Level 2 Counselors are biblical counselors who have professional education in counseling.

Frequently Asked Questions

One-time consultation meetings are designed to address a specific issue with a specific goal as a way of providing instant guidance to you. It is a time where you and the counselor can discuss the issue at hand to help provide clarity or insight into the situation, and to determine what next steps might be. Next steps could include utilizing resources provided, or continuing on to further counseling sessions in a more formal way.

If you and the counselor you meet with determine that further counseling would be a good path forward, you will then be directed to the Counseling Request form where you can input more detailed information and be placed on the waiting list to see our next available counselor.

As this is a limited session, you can prepare by asking yourself these questions:

    • What is my specific concern going into this consultation?
    • What goals would I like to achieve from this time?
    • What other information can I bring to this consultation that would be helpful for the counselor to know?

This consultation meeting is not meant to be a quick fix to counseling. Our hope is that this can be used for issues needing immediate guidance where we can take the time to problem solve and gather resources that might help you see a way forward through the present concern. The answer to these questions might be that ongoing counseling is suggested, if you and your counselor decide you might benefit from more in-depth biblical counseling.

All counseling that we do is rooted in biblical truth with a focus on the importance of the gospel in our lives. Each of our counselors will function from this view whether that is in a one-time meeting or long-term biblical counseling.
