Financial Assistance for Black Lake

We realize that many families are faced with a variety of financial challenges and we never want a student to miss an activity due to insufficient funds. In order to help with this, we’d like to offer the following financial suggestions/options:

1. Earning money

The primary way we encourage students to raise the necessary funds for camp is by seeking ways to earn money on their own (babysitting, mowing lawns, getting a job, etc.) This teaches responsibility and develops ownership. If you need ideas or leads on ways to earn money for camp, please let us know. We often have leaders within our ministry that are looking for help and more then willing to generously support students interested in earning money.

2. Incremental payments

Another way we week to help students and families is by allowing you to pay for camp incrementally. When you register your student for camp we now offer a partial payment to secure their spot at camp. This partial payment is half of the cost of camp ($175). The full camp payment, in order to keep their spot at camp, is due June 27th, 2021.

3. Financial assistance

If the above options are not enough to help a student get to camp, we have set aside funds to meet special needs. You can apply for financial assistance from the church through our process.

Applying for financial assistance is a 4-step process:

Step 1

Fill out the application form and return to New Heights Student Ministries by the due date of June 1st, 2021. No Financial Assistance requests will be considered after this date.

Step 2

Once the form is received our financial assistance committee will review the request.

Step 3

After review, you will receive a call/email regarding the application with either an approval for your request or next-step recommendations if your request is not able to be met. Decisions will be made by June 4th, 2021.

Step 4

The payment portion that you are responsible for, must be made by June 15th, 2021 in order to receive approved financial assistance. If the payment portion that you are responsible for is not made by June 15th, 2021 we will be unable to honor your financial assistance request and/or approval and will proceed with the next applicant.
