Our Mission

Make more and better disciples of Jesus.

Our Method

To bring help, hope, and home to a hurting world through Jesus Christ.

What will you find at New Heights?

You’ll find purpose. At New Heights, we see life as a continual process of Responding To Our God, being Responsible In Our Relationships, and Reproducing Our Faith. As you become part of New Heights, we believe there is a place for you in God’s great plan!

You’ll find help. You won’t be here long before you realize that God has made New Heights a place where people can come for help. we have groups geared to people of all ages and backgrounds…people like you!

You’ll find hope. In a world where stress is more prevalent than peace, we want to help you find the forgiveness and hope that Jesus offers. Our practical teaching focuses on “how-to” over “ought-to.”

You’ll find home. New Heights is full of warm, caring people who are anxious to serve you and care for your deepest needs. Our small group ministries balance our size, so we are big enough to serve you, but not too big to know you.

Your First Visit

First and foremost, New Heights is a warm and welcoming community. We’re not going to put you on the spot or ask you for money. We’re just glad to have you here.
New Heights is one church meeting in multiple locations throughout Vancouver, WA. This affords us all the benefits of a large church without feeling too large. It also enables us to bring the message of Help, Hope, and Home throughout the Vancouver area. We have a location in East VancouverDowntown VancouverBattle Ground, and one centrally located between all these places. We also have a Latino congregation that meets at our Main Campus.
We have driving maps, directions, and even building maps for you on our Main CampusEast CampusNorth Campus, and West Campus pages.
Our weekend gatherings are called “worship services.” The service generally starts with a few worship songs, a greeting, and a prayer. Then one of our pastors guides us through a teaching from the Bible. This “talk” tends to focus on “how-to” over”ought-to.” We finish our time much like we started–with a short prayer and some worship songs. A typical worship service is about 65-85 minutes.
New Heights isn’t the type of church that’s going to put you on the spot. The last thing we want is for you to feel uncomfortable. We have Bible passages printed so you can follow along, and the words to the songs projected on a screen in case you want to sing along.
The style ranges slightly from week-to-week and location-to-location but generally speaking, it is contemporary. There will be a band with vocalists.
Caring for kids is a priority at New Heights. We have special children’s programs available from nursery through grade five in our kidzone so you can relax while attending a worship service.
Let us care for your special needs child while you attend a worship service. Class is offered Saturdays, 5pm and Sundays, 9:45am at NH Main Campus. Send us a message to register your child.
Wear whatever is comfortable for you. We’re pretty casual around here.

Our desire is to bring Help, Hope & Home to a hurting world through Jesus Christ.

At New Heights, you will find…

  • Help: Our teaching focuses on “how-to” over “ought-to.”
  • Hope: We want to help you find the forgiveness and hope that Jesus desires.
  • Home: We have an abundance of great groups and ways to connect.

Our belief and experience is this…

All people need Jesus. If you will come, we will introduce you to Him. Ultimately, Jesus is our Help, Jesus is our Hope, Jesus will bring us Home.

Our purpose is simple.

We want to make more and better disciples of Jesus Christ. Jesus was crystal clear about the purpose of the church. He said, “Go and make disciples.” Matthew 28:19

We become Jesus’ disciples by responding to His love.

“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Jesus made it very clear what disciples are to do.

“By this all men will know you are My disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35

It is love that draws others to Christ.

Our love for God is shown by obedience.
Our love for fellow believers is shown by service.
Our love for the world is shown by outreach.

We give evidence that we are true disciples when we are…

Responding To Our God (I Cor. 10:31)
Responsible In Our Relationships (Eph. 4:11-16; II Tim. 2:2)
Reproducing Our Faith (Matt. 28:19-20)

The best understanding of what we believe will come when you expereince who we are. We invite you to visit one of four worship locations: New Heights MainNew Heights EastNew Heights NorthNew Heights West, or Nuevas Alturas .

1. The Word of God

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

2. The Trinity

We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.

3. God the Father

We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of each person, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

4. Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth.

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide.

6. Regeneration

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

7. The Church

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the good news of Jesus Christ to a lost world.
